ONE ON ONE & SMALL GROUP TUTORING.
I am now available for private tutoring in all subjects up to grade 10 - in French and in English!
I can come to your home or you can come to mine.
First the safety & SAFTEY FIRST:
In my home...
Masks will be worn at all times.
Hand sanitizer is placed on each desk.
My "home-base classroom" is set up with 2 large desks for students and one for myself. Each desk will be thoroughly sanitized using Lysol wipes before & after every single use.
Each of the desks are a minimum of 6 feet apart.
A bathroom is available for the student's use.
My wife is a Public-Health nurse, so you can bet all protocols are followed very closely!!
Photos of our learning area can be seen below.
STUDENTS MAY BE FALLING BEHIND WITH MATH, SCIENCE AND READING/WRITING AFTER THIS UNPRECEDENTED LONG PAUSE FROM SCHOOL.
Tutoring is available for students from grade 2 all the way to grade 10...in both FRENCH & ENGLISH languages.
I am able to cover all major concepts for students of grade 2 through 10 in Sciences, Mathematics and Reading/Writing...in both FRENCH & ENGLISH languages !
Many students simply do not know how to learn. I will incorporate study and organization skills that will serve to make studying and learning much easier and more efficient. The key is to work smart, not just hard.
HAVE FUN. BE ENGAGED.
I truly believe that if a curricular concept can be made to be fun, students will not view the task as "work", but they will also retain information for much longer periods and at a faster pace.
It is not just about grades: it is about being a confident student. By showing a few key study skills or even slowing the material down to concretize the basics, it is amazing to see a student's level of confidence grow. This confidence will be reflected inside as well as the outside of the classroom.

I come from a household of teachers: my sister is a French Immersion elementary school teacher; my mother is a retired teacher and my father is a retired University Professor. Even my brother and sister-in-law are teachers! It goes to say that teaching is in our blood.
I graduated from Université de Moncton, in 1996, with degrees in Biology and Education and double majors in both English and French.
My teaching career began in 1996 in New Brunswick and I have been teaching High School French Immersion Sciences/ Math/ Business in British Columbia since 1997.
In 2002, I completed my Masters Degree in Administration and Curriculum.
I have tutored privately since then and just recently I decided to try a very different approach: Science Talk was therefore created.
Please feel free to either email or call/text if you prefer.
